Top 10 reasons why you might enjoy this UPSTAIRS master retreat:

  1. The practicality of close proximity to help and supervise little ones with all their needs, sick episodes at night, bedtime stories, bathing, dressing, etc.
  2. Napping and sleeping is easier when there's no one walking on the floor above you.
  3. Laundry room is located right where all the bedrooms are so there's less lugging of heavy baskets.
  4. You can get away from the noise of the downstairs tv and kitchen by going upstairs.
  5. Great for teenagers having friends over.
  6. It is more cost effective to heat bedrooms in the winter because hot air rises.
  7. It is more private to have upstairs bedroom windows rather than on street level, car lights won't bother you as much.
  8. If people in the house work on different schedules, they are less likely to disturb each other when bedrooms are upstairs.
  9. Easier to keep bedrooms private and off-limits to whomever.
  10. Four-score houses with the bedrooms upstairs tend to give you more outside space to enjoy on a similar sized lot as a sprawling first floor master house.
